my role
User research focused on understanding the nuances of death and how it affects frontliners
Concept, ideation, and interactive visualisations
Through research, realized that being close to death makes frontliners appreciate life more – rather than getting jaded by constantly being ‘around’ death
Built a concept for an app for everyday people that uses small nudges of our mortality to enable us to plan and live a more fulfilling life

The conclusion
A project with a lot of ups and downs, heartbreaking conversations, and a view from a perspective I’ve never seen before. To me, this was the first project that taught me what UX was – and what it could be. The hardest and most fulfilling process in my portfolio so far.
